Multi-Emmy Award winning International Correspondent
and Journalist
Hind Hassan
Covering conflicts, humanitarian crises, and the most significant developing stories worldwide.
Born in Iraq, raised in the city of Hull in the UK: Hind’s early years were shaped by the wars waged by and against Iraq. From the Iran-Iraq war to the Gulf war, to the U.S. invasion of Iraq, she recalls being transfixed by the news and images coming out of her birth country - as well as the journalists who risked their lives in order to tell the stories of the victims.
After studying chemistry at the University of Leeds, Hind received a scholarship to study Broadcast Journalism at City University. Shortly after graduating she began her career, working at Sky News and Al Jazeera. In 2016 she joined VICE News as an international correspondent where she reported from some of the most hostile environments in the world.
As an independent journalist Hind continues her work, documenting the impact of conflict from the Occupied West Bank to Lebanon.
